Soul Food at the Senator’s Place

Hey everybody! So… totally got my days messed up. Turns out we’re talking about the blues more in depth tomorrow, though we are having a speaker discuss some blues music tonight. Today we have focused specifically on the history of Delta immigration, and I’ll have some stuff on that tonight.

In the meantime, I thought you’d enjoy some pictures of the delicious food I had at the Senator’s Place, a soul food restaurant in Cleveland Mississippi right on the famous Highway 61 (of the Bob Dylan fame.) You will taste the butter, salt, and pepper in these pics. Totally worth the 20+ hour drive to Mississippi for a $9 buffet of beans, okra, fried chicken, grilled chicken, pulled pork, and sweet tea.
